Kuwait’s Jazeera Airways Reroutes Flights

(MENAFN) Kuwait’s Jazeera Airways redirected its operations on Sunday to Qaisumah Airport, situated in Hafr al-Batin within Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province, following the temporary closure of the nation’s airspace, according to a state news organization.

The airline noted that the airport is roughly a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Kuwait.

“Arriving passengers can continue their journey by road into Kuwait, and departing passengers can travel to the airport by road, provided they possess a valid visa to enter Saudi Arabia,” it explained.

Tensions in the region have intensified after the US and Israel conducted a joint assault on Iran last week, resulting in over 1,200 fatalities, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and prominent military leaders.

In response, Tehran launched a series of missile and drone attacks aimed at Israel and Gulf nations that host US military facilities.
